The authors and their relatives' experience in the battle against cancer, especially in what concerns the conduct of health professionals and health system employees in general, gave the idea to sensitize all those who are involved in aspects that are generally put in second place and are not visible: the relationship between doctor and patient; the importance of a humanized perspective by the medicine, where people are treated, and not just the disease; encouraging the patient to become an agent on the recovery process; helping the family and friends to support, take care and also transform; respecting everybody, and, finally, treating people on a truly respectful way.
The images and declarations lead the visitors to reflection. They are a motivation and an accusation to bring the discussion about the way cancer is treated – with focus on the human being.
